Soils for proper drainage:
Soils hence should be able to allow proper drainage of water. Light sandy soils have humus forming materials enabling breaking up of closely packed particles of soil. It becomes essential for you to identify different types of soils first before planting trees, shrubs and plants in the garden. It needs to be dug up occasionally to make it loose thus preventing it from hardening.
Some soils are best dug up during the autumn so that it can soften during the coming rains. Plants lime camellias, magnolias, azaleas and rhododendrons do not like its containing lime. It should suit the requirement of the plant, because it is never possible for the plant to adjust with any type of a soil.

Soil can be treated according to its needs. Soil preparation requires some fundamentals if followed well can enable your plants to have proper growth. Instead of treating better idea is to provide the right type of soil for the plant. Soil treatment on a regular basis may prove to be an expensive affair at times, especially if it has to be done too often.
Depending on the weather conditions it’s too has natural drainage. Digging two or three feel holes in many areas of the garden will help you in getting an idea whether too much water gets retained in the soil or not. Water can get logged in a low lying area and improper drainage. Roots of plants can get damaged with excessive water logging, thus leading to the death of the plant. Provision of adequate drainage pipes could be the best remedy.
